DEWS is the toothbrush. It doesn't need a holder, so simple yet so so brilliant. Yay free standing toothbrush.

and this is pocket light also one of Harc Lee's project. I just think its great to be able to have a little torch you can put inside your purse or wallet !!1

Inspiration Lane

Rewind to Wednesday!!!!
I went to the open day at Uwic (Cardiff University) and I came back very inspired!!
I looked at some of the exhibitions going on,being product design which was fanatasitc, it was really intersting to see some of the design the final years have been working on, and to see little "fake models"(made of foam and spray painted).
BUT the thing that really blew me away was the contempoary textiles exhibt. It was mostly about patterns of the material, and I  thought that textiles was just sewing. There were some absolutely stunning pieces of work, most being printed illustrations and occassional painted piece.
So today I walk into peacocks and fall in love with several skirts costing £15-£16 ... making me gasp and choke. So after hunting around in several material shops for some pretty floral print I gave up. BUT then I looked around some charity shops and my mum found some curtains. So my idea is to make a-line skirt out of them.
So THEN (wow long story) I searched for dressmaking, which led me to threadbanger.com - home decal, and diy fashion, and renew your clothes. So I now have a skirt on the go!!!! Then I looked at home decal and came across.......
This was just so cute I just couldn't not post it!!!
Milbo studios do a range of paper products, there are really cute and really adorable!!! They can be bought as PDFs from the site and downloaded and pritned and then made!!!!Find them at  http://mibostudio.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-02-10T12%3A04%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=10 -- their blog

I came across these portraits as I was stunned, because of the overall brilliance. So I thought I start posting some of the work that inspire me. Today is Alex Queral, he carves the portraits out of old phonebooks.

NO ONE COMMENTS

*Sigh*
I feel sad... no one comments on my blog. It really hurts, and it makes me feel empty inside.
BUT
all that is about to change as its summer and I've promised to actually keep up with the art and design stuff. There will be actual material I've made put up. I know what you're thinking *gasps* I know. But I've been getting more and more inspired which is typically as my deadline is in 2 days... its not the art that takes the time, its the writing and evauluating to make you a better artist. Yes I'm very skeptical to that last comment I made but it has to be done I guess.

ANYONE got any ideas for my blog background, I'm stuck... even though I'm really inspired- wrong type of layout etc.. yada yada .. INSPIRATION ALWAYS WANTED : APPLY HERE :D

OH

Today I realised that, I have blog. Not only do I have a blog but I just read "how to generate Ideas for your blog"... and then my brain reminded me that I'm exactly blogging in the most normal of fashion.
So I got thinking does it really matter what I put here? Oh. Maybe it does.
I read further through this little article (link will poster further down) it "said" I should plan... I've never planned a post in my life... no wonder why this is going down hill and makes no sense...and that I should keep a notebook to write ideas in... double oh .... to me this is completley brand shiny new... visualise your concepts... urrmm, I find it hard visulising what I'm going to have for dinner...Outline the posts- its always subconciously in the back of your mind though surely *getting more nervous*, set a blogging schedule- My exam is 3 days- its roughly round 1-2 times a month its not like anyone follows this bar myself ( dear Future me, I apologise now for all the was I mucked up now that you are now doing what you're doing, If you're reading this I'm really really sorry- painful to read isn't it XD)
BUT.. there is one thing I do I regsular read magazines, and look at inspiration .
If one day you decide to view this again, no way I hear? Ah well you'll never see if the tips work and if my blogging standard improves or not !!!!
